India imposes AD duty on stainless steel import from EU, US and South Korea

Indian Finance Ministry has imposed definitive anti dumping duty on flat products of stainless steel imported from South Korea, the European Union and the United States. An anti dumping duty of USD 1,491 a tonne will be levied on all imports of flat products of stainless steel, having width below 600 mm, originating in or exported from these countries and imported into India.The definitive anti-dumping duty will be valid for five years. The revenue department move follows recommendations of the designated authority in the Commerce Ministry in its final findings issued in November last year. Source - Business Line
