Baosteel inks electrical steel supply pact with Western Electric Company

Recently, Baosteel signed the steel purchasing strategic cooperation frame agreement with Western Electric Company in Xi'an.
According to the agreement, both parties will develop the strategic cooperation in supply, equipment purchasing, transformation upgrading, and management promotion by strengthening business cooperation. They will realize the increase in income and reduction in expenditure for ensuring a healthy and stable development to the customers, as well as market.
After 10 years of research and development, Baosteel has got the stable production capacity of annual 200000 tons of orientation silicon steel, accumulating over 400000 tons of market supply. Among them, over 200 transformers for manufacturing more than 500 kilovolt, they got the capacity of high voltage high capacity transformer for orientation silicon steel supplying in batch. Since 2009, Baosteel engaged in the development and application of high-end orientation silicon sheet with western electric company, driving the cooperation with aluminum-zinc plate, etc. after both technology department certification, Baosteel supplied each product performance index is completely in conformity with the technical specification in western electric application.
