China remains largest steel supplier to Vietnam

SGGP News reported that Vietnam imported 1.15 million tons of iron and steels in January, a slight increase of 2.2% compared to the previous month. Specifically, China remained its position as the leading exporter of iron and steel to Vietnam with 526,764 tonnes worth approximately USD 347.38 million, accounting for 45.7% of national iron and steels import and 43.4% of total turnover; followed by South Korea with 139,890 million tonnes of iron and steels worth USD 112.75 million and Japan with 146,924 tons worth USD 98.02 million, which made up 12% of the country’s quantity and import turnover of iron and steels.
