TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION
FOR
TYPE XBJXX-40(60) CUT-TO-LENGTH LINE FOR TRANSFORMER LAMINATION
GENERAL
Type XBJxx-40(60) Cut-to-length line for transformer lamination is the special equipment for transformer lamination manufacturing. The requirements for the steel sheet coil is as follows:
Thickness of sheet: 0.23~0.35mm;
Tolerance of sheet width: £0.1mm;
S deviation: £0.1mm/1000mm;
Burr: £0.02mm.
Requirements for workshop
Power: AC 380V (3-phase), 220V (1 phase), 50Hz
Compressed air:
Pressure ³ 0.7 MPa,
Dew point £-40℃,
Oil content £0.01 PPM
Consumption: ~ 3 m3/min
Temperature: 5~40℃

DESCRIPTION OF COMPONENTS:
LOADING TROLLEY
The silicon steel coil is loaded on the loading trolley and pushed to the decoiler manually. Then the coil is pneumatically lifted to the correct height by the loading trolley so that it can be moved onto the expandable mandrel of the decoiler easily. The maximum loading capacity is 1.5 tons.
DOUBLE HEAD DECOILER
Internal diameter of coil 500-510mm;
Max. External diameter of coil 900mm(XBJxx-40), 1000mm (XBJxx-60)
Coil width 40-440mm(XBJxx-40), 60-640mm(XBJxx-60)
Max. Load of each mandrel 1500kg(XBJxx-40), 2500kg(XBJxx-60)
Speed of Decoiler 227~408 m/min
The two mandrels of the decoiler can be turn 180º horizontally so as to keep one mandrel in working position and the other is in standby position. The horizontal turning of each mandrel is driven manually through a group of gears or driven by hydraulic system according to customer's request. Each mandrel has 4 segments, which are expanded manually (or hydraulically according to customer's request) to grip the bore of the coil.
The rotational speed of the mandrels is controlled by electrical elements in the nearby buffer pit automatically or by the operator manually.
SHEET GUIDING DEVICE
The sheet guiding device consists of 2 guiding plates and a limit valve. The sheet-guiding device is installed in the buffer pit, in which there is an ultrasonic switch. It can control the sheet feeding by measuring height of sheet loop inside the buffer pit to match the operation of the feeder.
SHEET FEEDER
The feeder adopts precise grating encoder, Siemens AC servo system and Mitsubishi PLC, which ensure very high accuracy of feeding length.

Feeding speed: 0-240m/min(XBJxx-40), 0-210m/min(XBJxx-60)
Adjustment of sheet width
The width of guide rail can be adjusted synchronously. One side of the guide rail is movable and the other side is fixed. The movable side is adjusted by position-controlling motor. The width can be read through a position indicator with an accuracy of 0.1mm.
Feeding Rolls
The feeding rolls include one upper roll and one lower roll, which are driven by AC servo motor through time belt. The elevation and depression of upper roll is driven by a pneumatic cylinder.
Length Measuring Rolls
The length measuring rolls include one upper roll and one lower roll. The measurement is made through an impulse oscillator that connected with the roll. The measuring rolls are in working condition when the upper roll is pressed down by a pneumatic cylinder.
V NOTCH PUNCHING UNIT
Cross moving range of sliding table (Optional function): 20~250mm(XBJxx-40)
30~340mm(XBJxx-60)

The V notch punching unit is used to punch the V notch in the yoke and central core leg sheets.
The V notch is positioned according to the program requirements. For lengthways step-lap cores, the step positions of the V notch are automatically controlled by the sheet feeder. For transverse step-lap cores, the transverse step positions are automatically controlled through AC servo motor and rolling bearing (if the transverse step function option is selected).
The V notch punching unit has 2 upper and 2 lower blades. The blades are made of carbide, normally they can shear over 1,000,000 times after each sharpening with minimum burr.
The rigid walking beam and ball sleeve ensure the smallest punching burr which is less than 0.02mm. Upper blade is driven pneumatically.
The sheet scraps will dump into the waste bin through guiding chute.
Hole Punching Unit
Diameter range of holes which can be punched: F8-F30 mm
Punching burr: £ 0.02 mm
With the hole-punching unit, one or several holes can be punched in all laminations. The distance between holes can be chosen arbitrary.
SHEARING UNIT:

speed of discharging roll: ~257 m/min
There are one 45° and one 135° shearing unit equipped on the line, while the 90° shearing unit is optional upon customer's request.
The carbide blade can normally shear over 1,000,000 times after each sharpening with minimum burr. One upper and one lower blades are mounted in each shearing unit.
The rigid walking beam and ball sleeve ensure the smallest shearing burr. Burr is less than 0.02mm. Upper blade is driven pneumatically.
DISCHARGE TABLE

speed of conveyer belt: ~245 m/min.
The finished sheets after all shearing and punching will be sent to diverting mechanism by magnetic conveying belt.
DIVERTING MECHANISM:

Elevating travel of conveyer belt: 300 mm
Elevating speed of conveyer belt: 4 mm/s
The diverting mechanism has two identical mechanisms which are in the upper and lower positions and equipped with magnetic conveying belt respectively. The sheets will be automatically diverted into upper and lower layers by diverter before the magnetic conveying belt so that sheets with different shapes can be stacked separately.
The nip rolls and pressing mechanism behind the magnetic conveying belt convey the sheets to stacking trolley.
Upper and lower diverting mechanism can elevate corresponding to the stacking height of sheets to ensure that the diverting can be finished automatically.
PNEUMATIC SYSTEM
Pneumatic system consists of pneumatic valves, pressure gauges, pressure regulation tank and pipes.

Air consumption: approx. 0.5m3/min
ELECTRICAL CONTROL SYSTEM
Electrical control system includes main control cabinet and operating console. The speed regulation, position control and functions control are automatically fulfilled by the means of SIEMENS AC servo system, MITSUBISHI logical control system, and universal PLC module.
Graphic operation terminal with user-friendly Chinese/English menu and colored processing pattern display is adopted. The operator can select required lamination shapes, input data, adjust parameters and control the whole production line very easily by touching the screen.
